What is your background in the aviation industry?
Almost everyone in my family are somehow connected with aviation or aerospace industry and that has affected also me. I graduated from the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation and started my carrier as Technician. As of now I have 14-years of experience in the aviation industry, after-sales services (aircraft maintenance, components MRO, logistics) and company management.
What do you like most about working at Panaviatic Maintenance?
Panaviatic Maintenance is small sized company and that allows us to be proactive and flexible, while we work on improvements. We provide really dedicated service to our customer and get direct feedback from them. This helps us to move forward and be in constant change.
What makes your company special and differentiates you from other similar companies?
As I said we are small and flexible and dedicated to work as one big family. Our customer service is available 24/7 and we always aim for the best “one stop shop” solutions at the best price range in region. Also, we are working with quite unique aircraft types (e.g. Bombardier Learjet-31/60).
What is the most memorable memory of your current work experience in the company so far?
We have had a lot of difficult projects, where you need to work twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. All of them are memorable for me and my team. There was especially challenging period during 2019-2020 when we had to manage our work partially remotely.
What do you think is the future of aviation and Panaviatic Maintenance role in it?
We as a company are aimed to support our clients and provide most effective and safe service to business jet owners. Aviation sector will grow for sure and despite the new IT solutions people still need to be mobile and keep relationships both, in business and life.
What are the biggest challenges for you company today?
Considering our location and regional specificities – we work hard to improve the service level and provide better support for current clients. We want them to feel more comfortable with doing business with us. Also, we are working on new projects with new clients and new aircraft types.
How good is the health of aviation in the world today?
Everybody saw how COVID-19 affected the aviation industry and that was really huge downturn, but fortunately there are signs of recovery. We hope that the business volumes will bounce back in the near future to at least on the level of 2019. As with private jet business – we see it to be more flexible, since for some people, during the restrictions period, it was the only way to still be mobile and keep their businesses going.
Based on your own experience, what is the best preparation for a person who would like to work in the same position as you?
One needs to be proactive and be able to think outside of the box. It is very important to have international contacts which makes possible to address different issues. Additional benefit is to have wide experience not only in maintenance, but in logistics, accounting and overall in business.
