Estonian Aviation Academy Fund
On 21 December, 2006, Estonian Aviation Academy (former Tartu Aviation College) established a fund (ELA Fund). The aim of it is:
- to promote Estonian aviation education;
- to raise the level of aviation safety and
- to involve the public in financing aviation education.
The aim and the conditions of awarding a certain scholarship shall be determined by the decision made by the Council of the Fund or in its statutes considering the donators wishes and aims, in case there are any.
The Fund is open to donations by any individual or legal persons. Pursuant to the respective legislative acts of the Republic of Estonia the donations are non-taxable.
- Tallinna Lennujaam AS, Tallinn Airporport GH, Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS and Fort Aero AS scholarships are being funded by corresponding organizations.
- Pühajärve scholarship is being funded by donations.
- Otto Taur scholarship for young airplane piloting students is being funded by other individual or legal persons.
- Magnetic MRO AS offers one type raiting course for aircraft engineers, who have finished basic training.
The donations to the Estonian Aviation Academy Fund can be transferred to the following accounts of Tartu Kultuurkapital. The cue word “ELA Fond” and scholarship name.
