Both programmes have a tuition fee for international students. The prerequisites for applying are:
secondary education;
excellent English language skills.
Successful completion of the studies grants a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Studies for the Commercial Aviation Management programme take place on-site at the academy and last three years. The programme should be of interest to anyone who sees their future as a specialist or a manager in, for example
airline companies;
airports;
companies providing ground handling;
air traffic control services;
maintenance organisations;
tourism companies;
public authorities related to aviation etc.
Courses are also largely carried out by professionals working in aviation, which allows students to make contacts early on.
Application deadline: 20 April 2025.
The Commercial Air Transport Pilot programme has two versions. The first one is for professional pilots who have a pilot’s licence (CPL, ATPL) but have not obtained a higher education. This version of the programme can be completed in one to three years (one-year meaning full-time studies). It enables students to acquire higher education to supplement their pilot competence. The added value is the opportunity to study alongside working, as learning takes place online.
The programme includes International Air Transport Association (IATA) courses, which the Academy has the exclusive right to offer in Estonia as an IATA-authorised training organisation.
Application deadline: 18 May 2025.
*The second version of the programme is a comprehensive three-year course designed for those aspiring to earn both a pilot’s licence and a higher education.
* PLEASE NOTE
Currently, the 120 ECTS required for the Basic Professional Training (48 ECTS) and Speciality Training Modules (72 ECTS) can only be credited by transferring the ATPL theory and practical training from an EASA-certified flight school in an EASA member state. This is because the Estonian Aviation Academy is restructuring its flight training. In the future, ATPL theory and flight training will also be available directly at the Estonian Aviation Academy. Flight schools or training organisations must be certified by EASA member states or by EASA itself.
The link for possible training organisations that are certified by EASA itself is accessible here.
