This year, the period for submitting applications has ended, and compared to the previous year, the competition and the total number of applications in all specialties of the Estonian Aviation Academy has increased.
The number of overall applications increased from 297 to 336 compared to 2019, and the final competition for all programmes was approximately 6 people for one study place on average. The total number of applications thus increased by 13% and the competition for one study place by 16%.
The specialty of Aviation Management made a particularly outstanding leap, rising from 5.5 people per study place to as many as 8.2.
Last year, an average of 8.8 people applied for a place in the Air Traffic Services programme, but this year the result was 9.9 people, thus being the largest competition in the Estonian Aviation Academy.
The competition in the field of Aircraft Piloting, which has always shown popularity over the years, rose from 8.4 to 9.5 people per study place.
The competition in the Aeronautical Engineering programme also increased - 2.4 people per study place compared to last year's 2.2. In particular, 30 of the 64 candidates who have applied have already passed the entrance examination, which all those interested could have already taken during the previous preliminary tests.
