In September,
the Estonian unmanned aviation community’s study trip to Switzerland took place
thanks to Estonian Aviation Cluster. The aim of the visit was gathering
practices, how unmanned aviation is being developed and how it is integrated to
the regular and traditional life that we are used with.
The Swiss experience seminar took place on the first day of November. Delegates
had a chance to share their experiences, good ideas and interesting examples from
the trip with a broader auditorium. The seminar day was organized by the
Academy and opened by the new General Manager of the Estonian Aviation Cluster,
Mr Jaan Tamm.
Various topics were covered during the day, for instance, the use of UAS in medicine, security and surveillance, cities’ role in developing the three-dimensional transport system and drone innovation business incubators. Of course, discussions on, what our next challenges will be and how far we have reached in the process of regulating the area took place.
Here, the special thanks go to the Minister Riina Sikkut, speakers and panelists - Jaan Tamm, Kristian Sirp, Kaili Ojamets, Teve Rahula, Tanel Rautits, Maiken Kull and Andres Mumma!
It was a truly inspiring day and everyone left the event with a knowledge that developing the unmanned aviation is a priority for our government and the area will be supported in future.
